Hello everyone,

I'm Annabel and since november last year I'm blogging about books. I love reading and I pent most of my free time with a book. I live in the Netherland but I read most of my books in English. I love reading Fantasy novels, Young Adult, horror and historical fiction.
If' I'm not reading than I'm probably watching a movie, on the internet or out with friends. I love to go to concerts, mostly metal and rock but I do like a good pop concert too. Well that's it I guess

P90x is probably the best workout regime I've ever started. It's pretty intense though. Week one completely killed me. But week 2 is much better now.

Hi everyone,
My name is Mareena and in the real world I host an Irish radio show with my mom, Mary, called "Proud to be Irish". We've had the show for 19 years and play Irish music, interview Irish singers and bands and generally have fun! I live in Albany, New York (upstate) but was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland. I moved to America with my parents when I was 5 and a half years old.

In the virtual world I am Emeraldfire, owner of Emeraldfire's Bookmark - a book review blog that I started about 2 years ago. I sort of "tricked" my mom into reviewing with me. She is very tech shy and "hates" computers, so she reads the books and I review them for her under the name Rosefire. Mom has been "blogging" for a year and a half.

Both mom and I are avid readers whose favorite pastime is visiting bookstores or the library. I have to tell you that my mom taught me how to read, but we don't know how she did it. I just looked over her shoulder and followed along while she read to me. I know that I could read chapter books by the first grade. Guess I sort of skipped "See Spot Run" and went on to "Anne of Green Gables" type reading.

My dad was a former math teacher turned professional singer and my mom was a former English teacher. My dad didn't really understand my interest in leisure reading. His interest lay in numbers and logic puzzles and he never opened a book for leisure reading in his life. He was extremely proud of the fact that he got an A on an essay on a book that he never even read.

First, thank you to Bobbie for inviting me to this site.

I am Kat and live in the southern US. I recently started a book blog because almost everyone I know got tired of hearing me talk about books. So I thought what a better place to talk about books than on a blog. I am an RN and have been for what seems like 100 years even though it has only been 20. I have two grown boys (21 and 19) and my 19 yr old loves to read almost as much as I do.

I love historical, contemporary and literary fiction. I also read mysteries, thrillers, young adult, paranormal and urban fantasy.

Glad to be here and look forward to getting to know everyone!
