Hey, thanks for inviting me to the site. I'm prowling around and thought I would stop in and say hi.

ROLL OF THE DIE is my first novel, although I've been a writer for fourteen years. I have ten completed screenplays, a pair of documentaries, an animated short and a graphic novel in the works.

I was a 2001 Finalist and 2004 Semi-Finalist for the prestigious Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Nicholl Fellowship. I've had a project invited to the 2005 Sundance Institute Producers Conference, and have placed in a variety of writing competitions, including the Austin Film Festival, PAGE International, FADE IN Awards, Cynosure Screenwriting and Scriptapalooza.

I recently produced and directed two documentary short-subjects. OUT OF MANY, about the struggles of a Learning Center in Kingston, Jamaica. 20/20 VISION, about the construction of an International Financial Center in Port of Spain, Trinidad.

I'm currently working on my second novel, ON THE BAYOU. An action-thriller in the swamps of Louisiana.

Hello all!

My name is Shirley K. Carter, and I am a (new-ish) blogger. My blog is Shirley's Surely Reviewing

I enjoy just about every type of fiction, but am especially a fan of science fiction/fantasy. I've had a love of books for as long as I can remember.

My other great love is cooking. I love to cook for large groups of people, and have "catered" (unofficially) several dinners/breakfasts/parties for my close friends. Event planning/coordination is another joy of mine, when I can get my nose out of a book long enough. Though, not something I do nearly as often due to budgetary and time constraints.

I am, as of yet, unpublished. That may change someday. I love to write, and like to think I'm even funny from time to time. ;)

By day, I work as a special needs aide for visually impaired students, and in summers I am a researcher (social/market - not science).

Welcome Shirley! I look forward to getting to know you :)
Well My Name is SATA......Jake and I write scary stories from the heart of the bible belt
stories that Bobbi would say are well unlike anything ever put on paper!
i enjoy walks on the beach Barry Manilow karaoke midget porn in reverse walking ino antique stores and asking whats new and asking random nun's "did you know i can tie my shoes with my tongue?"
I guess I'll take the plunge..hehe. My name is Jaidis Shaw and I'm the Assistant Book Tour Coordinator for Nurture Your Books :)

I also maintain the book blog Juniper Grove, where I post my book reviews and also update my readers about my own writing. I have a short story appearing in the upcoming Twisted Fairy Tales Volume 2 by Wicked East Press which I'm super excited about. I have several other works in progress as well :)
Hi, I am Kendall and I am just your average book lover and blogger! I review for Suspense Magazine and numerous virtual tour sites. Reading is my passion, I only wish it were my paying job!

By day I am a RMA/Billing Manager. Married to my soul mate, kids, live-in parents (my mother, hubbys father!) Soon to be grandmother. Cat lover. LOL What else do you want to know?

My review of

Talon, Come Fly With Me
by Gigi Sedlmayer

This is one of the most interesting books I've read in a long

time, of any variety. (I review a lot of books, so I see more than most

people.) The lead character is young Matica is from Australia but now lives in Pucara, located on a high and open, sandy, vast plateau of the Andes about a thousand meters up in Peru, South America. Matica finds and befriends a

rare condor, and eventually the condor's family. The condor family becomes part

of Matica's family, in a way after Matica and her father do their best to

protect them from poachers. Everyone in the family helps hatch their egg …

that's just the beginning of the story.

There is a lot in this book, in many ways, it's a unique story a

great read, but there must be more than a hundred lessons it can teach

children, without them ever knowing they're learning anything. There are

lessons about ecology, family, native ways, just to name a few. This story

somewhat leaves me at a loss for what to say about it. All the superfluous

words in my arsenal fail to do it justice. Talon is so good on so many levels,

that adults will enjoy it, so will children, whether the children can read it

themselves of have it read to them. There is drama, humor, and a flight of fancy

or two throughout Talon.

The only odd thing that caught this editor's eye was the British

(and Aussie) spellings and punctuation style. Once I got used to that, it

flowed beautifully. This book is a keeper, that's for sure. If you buy the hard

cover edition, you'll want to hand it down through the family for generations

to come, it's that good. I guess that's all I can say about the book; the

author on the other hand, is a story waiting to be told. I'll let her tell it,

when she's ready, it should be quite the interesting story too. You'd never

know from this book that English is her third language.

P.S. to the author: Keep that editor, he or she is worth their

weight in platinum!

Hi there!

I am the award-winning author of Frankie the Walk 'N Roll Dog book series. True stories of how my dachshund, Frankie became paralyzed, was custom-fitted for a doggie wheelchair and persevered. We have gone on to share our story with thousands of children and adults, visiting over 300 schools, libraries, and organizations since 2008. Frankie is also a certified therapy dog, bringing joy and love to the elderly, dying, and sick. I'm a writer, publisher, speaker, and most passionately, an advocate for pets with special needs.

I'm also the owner of the blog, Promote Your Book To Schools where I share my expertise in selling books through author appearances. It is my hope to help authors share their message and sell books through author visits. I believe the world needs to hear our stories.

Joyfully,

Hello! I'm excited to be here, too. I'm Claudine, a children's books writer/publisher from Singapore. I love reading and writing, especially stories that can encourage children to become a little braver, to trust themselves a bit more, and to egg them on to whatever task they take. My first picture e-book, My Clearest Me, is about a quiet boy wondering if he ought to be 'a breathing wind in the night or bursting sparks to crack the sky' and it will be available on iBookstore/Nook/Sony/Kindle soon.

I'd love to interact with fellow readers & writers (of both children and adult genre), and hope to seek picture book reviewers for My Clearest Me.

Thank you for having me! I plan to have lots of fun here.

Claudine
