Stone Relics by Katy Walters - Sponsored Book

I was wondering why I have always loved to read books and I've come up with the following reasons:

  • For the sheer enjoyment & reading pleasure
  • To me, opening a new book is like opening a gift at Christmas!!
  • To escape into the fantastical world that the author creates
  • To be inspired  and to believe in possibilities that I didn't know existed
  • To feel comforted and befriended --- does that make sense?
  • To feel like I am on a short holiday of sorts - escapism?

If you'd like to share with us, why do you read?

All of the above! Making a connection with people and characters through stories is, for the reader in me, an experience I might never know as well (historicals, time travel, futuristic).
I don't have any borthers or sisters so I had to find something I could do on my own. I started reading and I'm addicted to reading ever since I picked up my first book haha. I just love to get away from daily life and dive into a story and it's characters. And everytime I order new books and the mailman brings me the box of new books I just do a happy dance haha. Books are my addiction.
For me as well, Bobbie, all what you have written down. It's so mesmaricing, to escape into the world that other authors created. Time travel, visiting other planets, i love Ben Bova. Sci-fiction Writer. Love it
