Stone Relics by Katy Walters - Sponsored Book

A warm welcome to author, Gary Towner!

Author Bio: Starting with a 1980 creative writing class at the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, I have felt the need to write adventure novels. Toward that end I have studied under mentors John Tigges, Carolyn Banks, and many others. Also, I have completed a number of correspondence writing courses to better learn the craft. I loved the Allan Quartermain series and have written a number of adventure novels in an attempt at joining in all the fun. I've been writing unpublished works for over ten years, but now have a number of published, or soon to be published, works to my credit. Of course I continue working on a number of WIP's that will someday, hopefully, also find a home at Amazon and elsewhere in the book industry. Watch for my Johnny Walker Adventure series at Whiskey Creel Press. They have contracts to publish at least four in the series.

Rave Reviews for "Pestilence" by Gary Towner

I write to suit my hunger for a good story. As with art, the beauty of my creations may not be appreciated by everyone who reads, but it is heartening for me to receive reviews such as these (regarding my Horror/Sci-fi novel, Pestilence):

Here is what Floyd Largent, Professional Editor has to say in his review about Pestilence:

“I’m always eager to read a new Gary Towner novel, because I know I can count on three things: an entertaining story: unrelenting action: and diamond-bright, three-dimensional characterization. His latest, Pestilence, is a perfect example. This gripping story is Sci-Fi horror at its best: a taut, cautionary tale of the evil that can erupt when scientific curiosity, corporate arrogance, and military ruthlessness collide in an arena with no ethical oversight. Be careful—if you read Pestilence, you might not merely be entertained. You might actually learn something… and you just might wake up worried in the middle of the night.”

Pestilence is a gripping novel from start to finish. Science fiction horror that can't be beat. Set in the small town of Keyly, Kansas, one man has all the pieces of the puzzle to solve the problems of Keyly.
You will fall in love with Huntly and Loser his dog. You will feel his terror, his anguish and his zest for truth, and ethics. From the drought stricken fields, to the ravenous grasshoppers who then turn into mutants. Love, loyalty, and honesty win out over government manipulation or does it? Find out that last pages of this novel. From army facilities in the middle of no-man's land to the final downfall of Keyly you will be hooked.

I really liked this book, it was horror mixed with some scifi, this would make a great movie. I liked the main character huntley, he went through alot and
still came out swinging. i liked the whole small town aspect, and the army coverups, you could actually picture that happening. the book definitley kept
you wanting to read more, i had a hard time putting it down and couldn't wait to see what would happen next. i would absolutly recommend this as a great read.

Pestilence by Gary Towner

After rural Kansas townsfolk are attacked by flesh eating insects, they discover the Army troops they seek help from are intent on exterminating more than the mutants.
