I thought it would be nice to have a discussion thread where everyone can post their blog and social network pages. It will provide a central location for those who want to network outside of Ning, and help keep the comment wall clean :)

Thanks Carole, I'll go check it out. I had no problem at all with Kindle. They did all the work. I just had to upload the file.

He's a frugal Yorkshireman, never would have gone for Premium why do you need it. i bet you don't. listen! just had a super idea. you're on FB. i'm going to put you into the Massters of Horror Group the guys there all know this stuff. just give me five minutes!xxx

I'm working on getting reviews from other sources and have some lined up.
Smashwords is driving me crazy. They just aren't happy no matter what I do. I don't have word so I'm having to format with what I have. Right now I can't even buy groceries much less go out and buy Word or pay someone $25 an hour to format it for me. $25 an hour! Are they kidding? I'm about to give up on the premium nonsense.

you're right Roxan! btw Shawn yes, it's good to be forewarned.
Actually I started to get nervous when i read that too, about such good reviews. not good to ask friends. but mine are from a publisher, book bloggers and a few writers.
No one i actually know wrote anything! yes, it's an excellent point. that's why it's good to give your book over to book bloggers, reviewrs as much as you can.
Coffee Time Romance, My Book Addiction--and a few others are excellent and i don't believe in paying for a review!

As in everything, you take the bad with the good. I think some have the idea that high rated reviewed come from people the writer is either related to or friends with. At least that's what I've read from people on forums when the subject comes up.

Thanks, Carole. Hopefully from my experience you can be forewarned thus forearmed. :)

Carole, she is American. I was impressed by her insight and observations for one so young.

Anna, it is fun and gratifying to have return readers? I was in Memphis in March for an event, and my first two customers where parents who bought Book 1 last year in Nashville! We all live in and around Nashville and they both said they will come by my booth again in May to buy book 3.

Oh, yeah, be ready for crappy and nasty. It comes with the territory. I can't stop people from putting up reviews after they read any of my books, but I can preview the people I ask. And after that blog tour, I'm very selective about reviewers.

I hadn't heard about Amazon doing away with bad reviews. Interesting.

About my books sounding historical - I wrote historical fiction before turning to fantasy. In fact, I'll be starting my historical fiction line next year.
