THE HOUSE ON BLACKSTONE MOOR:

The themes are vampirism, madness, obsession and devil worship set in 19th Century England.

This is a very dark paranormal romance with a story that goes beyond vampires as the issue of child abuse is integral to the plot.

Rose Baines, only survivor of her family's bloody carnage (perpetrated by her incestuous, suicidal father) survives a madhouse only to be given a position as governess at Blackstone House, a house built on accursed moorland.

Nothing is as it seems for those that dwell there have hideous secrets. But the most hideous secret of all is in the cellar.

The story is about love and betrayal. About human and supernatural evil and the ironies that abound with regard to which is the worst.

There are demons and fallen angels and a glimpse into hell itself. But there is also love from one who is damned but it comes at a terrible cost.

I am endeavoring to take gothic romance where it has never gone before, incorporating within the storyline, themes and characters that would never have been acceptable in years past.

This is not paranormal romance with racy bits. This is gothic romance as you’ve never known it to be.

When Zachariah and Matthew McCannon were young, their parents abandoned them, leaving Zack to take care of his little brother, Matt. Though they lived with their grandmother, she was always sick, so Zack was forced to raise him. This was not an easy task.
Zack had his hands full because of Matt’s unusual powers. He has visions and dreams that come true, and when he gets angry or upset, he can move things with his mind. Because of this, evil seeks him, keeping Zack on his toes as his protector.
As the brothers grew older, they became hunters, pursuing evil supernatural forces. After Matthew has a dream, it sends them on a hunt for cave, not knowing why, but realizing it is necessary. When they arrive, Matt finds the vision was a trap.
A Darkness like no other wants to control Matt and kill Zack. The Darkness is named, Alanya, which means, The Destroyer.
Alanya hates the brothers. In the past, every time he tried to apprehend Matt, Zack would thwart him by protecting his brother. Alanya is incensed that a mere human boy can beat him, for demons are not to be defied.
When Alanya asks Zack, “How far will you go to save your brother?” Zack answers, “As far as I have to.”
Now, the brothers are faced with a deadly force they never had to deal with before. This demon is on a deadly mission to destroy everything the brothers hold dear. If the McCannon’s are not careful, neither of them will be able to escape.

STAR WISHES by Cornell DeVille
Soon to be published on Amazon and Smashwords as a paperback. Unless an agent decides they like it fist. This is a great Christmas story involving a 13-year-old girl who's mother is dying. A little fantasy is involved in this one, too.

DEJA VU by Cornell DeVille
This is the sequel to A Tale of Two Hearts. The adventure continues with even more excitement and the appearance of the arch villain referenced in the first book.

A TALE OF TWO HEARTS by Cornell DeVille
My first middle grade / young adult novel was written three years ago after a trip to California and seeing Morro Rock for the first time. It gave me the idea for a story, which is currently available on Amazon.com. And priced at 99 cents. Not a bad price for a 40K word adventure.
