About
I earned my MFA from Bennington's Writing Seminars and I currently work as a fiction editor at Our Stories Literary Journal and a Creative Writing Professor at San Antonio Community College.

Some of my current publication credits include Annalemma Magazine, Bananafish, Bartleby Snopes, Eclectic Flash, Flashquake, Foundling Review, The Houston Literary Journal, Metazen, Midwest Literary Magazine, Short Story America, Slow Trains, SLAB, Superstition Review, and Quiz & Quill. Work is forthcoming in LITSNACK & Narrative Magazine.

I grew up in Ohio and live in San Antonio, Texas for the time being. My second book, To Begin Again, is forthcoming in March, 2011.

Hi Jen. Thanks for adding me. You live in one of my favorite cities, despite the fact I had my worst food poisoning ever on the Riverwalk. A word of advice - never take a bite of fettucini alfredo if your friend says "try this, it tastes funny." Congratulations on your upcoming release. I am furiously trying to get my sequel to the fiction editor by March for an August release. It's much different writing with a deadline.

While we are cautioned to not judge a book by its cover, and yet sadly, and also truthfully presentation effects greatly.
We are a visual people.

I see that you earned your MFA from Bennington Writing Seminars.
I earned by MFA from Goddard College. Though I am one of the first 3 MFA graduates from Goddard's Port Townsend campus in Washington state, I started out at the Plainfield site, just down the road from Bennington.
