Like most boys, my youngest son developed a fascination for dinosaurs. He could name many species before he could read. At some point, I knew I would have to have dinosaurs in The Empyrical Tales. Afterall, I couldn't write a story only for my girls. I had to include things for my boys too!
With only a few days left in the giveaway on my blog, I thought I would share some background on the dinosaurs ofThe Secret Queen.
So (sing a slightly altered tune with me), these are the…Continue

That's right, Set Free: An Amish Journey has come to an end. Allan's story comes to its conclusion with Trestle Press's latest release - Volume 9 - Humbled.
As a bonus, Trestle has decided to include the short epilogue of Volume 10 with Volume 9 for free. What do you think about that? I think it's great!
In Humbled, Allan must face the consequences of his actions. What will come of his late evening conversation with the schoolteacher? The story culminates a year to the day…Continue

With the official release of The Empyrical Tales Book III: The Secret Queen about a week away, I wanted to revisit the original purpose for this blog. Originally, I had intended to give a "making of" commentary and work my way through the story. Like Book III, Book I: The Fourth Queen closely follows the plot of the Hero's Journey. Check out the archive to see older posts, but I left off with "The Ordeal".
You can read the rest at my official blog:…Continue

That's right. Episode 3 is here. Like I said before, Olivia has such a great voice as an author. As I encourage her to explore and develop it, it might take a little longer to get these stories done. With her imagination and charm, I think it is worth the wait.
Sons of the King
The Creator's Ark
In Sons of the King, they have created a fantasy world with a touch of science fiction. In the land of Mysstira on the planet Kaskaya, a great King has three sons.…Continue

Mark Miller’s One is a series about faith and beliefs. It is about our understanding of truth and how we are all connected. Every individual is part of this one earth.
With six issues published, there have been some amazing stories. The authors have shared emotionally personal details of their relationships and unexplained, almost miraculous, events. The Authors of One are as varied as our world will allow: a father, an international traveler, a professor, a teenage poet. They also…

Writing is fun. It really is, I enjoy almost everything about it, even including the hard parts like networking and promoting. One of the best experiences I've had as a writer is watching my daughter when she is writing.
Sons of the King
Writing Sons of the King with Olivia is an incredible experience. She is very professional and has definite ideas about the story. Trestle Press has given us a great opportunity, for which we are both…Continue
